Abstract

Introduction: In recent years, energy drink products have become increasingly popular. Children, teenagers, and manual laborers frequently drink energy drinks, which offer additional vitality and freshness throughout the day and contain stimulants, vitamins, and supplements. Products like Red Bull, which has 80 mg of caffeine per 8 ounces, have led to the rise of other brands with higher caffeine concentration, like Adrenaline Rush and Rockstar. Even with the presence of components like sugar, caffeine, vitamins, and other supplements, worries about possible adverse health impacts, like heart issues, are still growing. The purpose of this study is to investigate how energy drink use affects people's health.

Methods: The method used is the literature review method.

Result: The findings of a 2005 survey of 211 people in Rosario revealed that, when viewed by gender, men are more likely than women to consume energy drinks. Residents who are single or divorced have a higher interest in consuming energy drinks, as shown by their marital status. Energy drink use is more popular among working people than among non working people.

Conclusion: Energy drinks are not recommended to be consumed especially in large quantities. This is based on the composition of the ingredients contained in them and the effects caused by consuming them.
