Hubungan Status Gizi dengan Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut (ISPA) pada Balita di Puskesmas Gunungpati Semarang

Abstract

Introduction: : Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) have contributed 28% of the causes of death in infants <1 year and 23% in infants. Risk factors affecting the nutritional status including ISPA. Acute Respiratory Infections 80-90% of all deaths are caused by pneumonia. Public Health of Gunungpati results in October-December 2013 there were 473 children under five affected by ISPA. Based on data from the year 2012 in Public Health of Gunungpati ISPA as much as 87,49%, 84,49% in 2013 as well as the data has always ranked first in the top ten diseases.

Methods: The research method is descriptive correlation with cross sectional study design. The sample was a children who visited the Public Health of Gunungpati in March 2014. Retrieved 80 samples with quota sampling technique.

Result: Nutritional status is based on BB/U of respondents have a good nutritional status of as many as 65 people (81,3%). Nutritional status based on BB/TB with normal nutritional status of as many as 73 people (91.3%). Nutritional status based TB/U with normal nutritional status as many as 66 people (82,5%). ARD in infants as much as 50%.

Conclusion: There is a relationship between nutrition status based on BB/U and BB/TB with ARI in infants with p<0.05. There is no relationship between the nutritional status of children by TB/U with acute respiratory infection in children with p> 0.05.
