Efektivitas Kinerja Millenium Development Goals dalam Rangka Penurunan Tingkat Kematian Anak di Indonesia

Abstract

Death of children that consist of Infants, Toddlers, and kids is one of the problem that still a major issue for some countries. Child mortality is a reflection of the social, economic and environmental conditions of children living including their health care. Besides child mortality also can be used to identify a population who is attacked by disease. Efforts of some countries in the world to reduce the mortality rate in children is by shaping the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) that consist of eight goals expected in 2015 and one of its goals is to reduce child mortality with a target of under-five kids mortality, between 1990 and 2015 reaching two per three of its fertility. Indonesia is one of the countries that agreed to the MDGs. Indonesia birth rates and child mortality rates are quite high. It reflects that Indonesia is still far from the target of the MDGs which is expected in 2015. There are many factors that must be tied to reduce child mortality in Indonesia to achieve the MDGs in 2015.
